Maje is getting its selfie on for the new Fall-Winter 2019 collection. Narcissistic? Not the way we see it! With selfies, everyone, everywhere is talking the same language: the language of pictures. We filter out borders and share a moment, a mood, an emotion. #MajeMyDogAndI is the start of a conversation. Maje is simply providing the opening line – we didn’t choose a elevator by chance, you know. What happens next will hopefully be a surprise.
Thousands of selfies are posted on social media every second. That's billions every year. We just can’t help it: Let’s egotrip! We revel in the times, and have fun with trends and the changes going on in the world around us. That’s the way it is, it’s in our nature. And maybe our nature, being ourselves, is the only thing that doesn’t change.
Fall-Winter 2019 plays with appearances, times and places. Because it's good to change, to sometimes be just a little bit more than what we are. From London to Paris, from glam to sensual. Evening wear gets a twist and becomes day wear. This winter, we’re staying open to influences, states of mind. From here to elsewhere, imagined and real, in perpetual motion.
But who is this Gyps? He’s Maje artistic director, Judith Milgrom’s beloved dog. This season, he’s photobombing everything: the looks for the collection and the campaign selfies. But Gyps doesn’t mind sharing the limelight: with his pals Magik, Haiku and Habt, and with everyone for whom #MyDogAndI is at least as important as #MeMyselfAndI.
